Photography by Ralph Gräf, Potsdam. The photo shows the famous Einstein Tower,
which is today situated in the premises of the AIP (Leibnitz Institute for Astrophysics Potsdam). This sun
observatory was build between 1919 and 1924 by the architect Erich Mendelsohn in collaboration with
the physicist Albert Einstein and the astronomer Erwin Finlay Freundlich. The Einstein Tower is one of
the many UNESCO heritage sites that meeting attendees may visit aside from our 2014 special interest
meetings in Potsdam.
