PREFACE
Dear colleagues and friends,
I would like to take this final opportunity to invite all of you to participate in our forthcoming International Meeting, which
will take place in Munich from March 14-16, 2016. Our local meeting organizers Heinrich Leonhardt and Annette Müller-
Taubenberger together with Lukas Huber from our guest society, the ÖGMBT (Austrian Association of Molecular Life Sciences
and Biotechnology) have put together a very exciting attractive program, covering a range of highly relevant topics in cell
biology. The local team has worked hard to make this a wonderful experience for all of us, and their biggest reward would be,
of course, seeing all of you in well-attended lecture halls. Please find the entire program in this issue of Cell News.
You are very welcome to register at

tickets are available as well. Meeting abstracts will be available for meeting attendees only.
We also would like to invite you to our DGZ member meeting that will take place during the lunch break on Tuesday in Room
G00.001. One important and major discussion point is the future direction of our society so it would be great to gather many
members there for lively discussions.
With regard to future meetings, I would like to again invite all members to make suggestions for potential future special in-
terest conferences. We feel this format has been very successful in the past, covering exciting topics, such as
Actin Dynamics,
Nuclear Transport or Muscle function and Myopathies
. If you have something in mind, simply send us a concept with a budget
plan, and upon positive, internal evaluation, we will be happy to offer assistance with all aspects of organization and to provide
direct support through our DGZ office and our expertise in meeting organization.
