          Dear colleagues,

Looking back at nineteen successful conferences of the DGZ study group “Signal

Transduction” with the STS in the past, I would like to cordially invite all of you to

celebrate our 20th “Joint Meeting Signal Transduction – Receptors, Mediators and

          Genes" with us.

This special anniversary event is scheduled for November 9th to 11th, 2016 and will

again take place at the Leonardo Hotel in the historical city of Weimar. As in recent

years, the joint meeting will be organized by STS in association with study groups

of the DGZ, the German Societies for Immunology (DGfI) and Pharmacology (DGP),

and the Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GBM). Other participating

consortia include the SFB 854 (Magdeburg) and the Netherlands Society for Bioche-

          mistry and Molecular Biology (NVBMB).

The usual plenary workshops will serve as platforms for individual consortia to pre-

sent their activities to the signalling community. Moreover, the special focus “Cells

and Molecules in Motion” was chosen as a common denominator of this year’s mee-

ting to underline the interdisciplinary concept of the meeting series. The whole team

carefully selected a number of renowned Keynote Speakers to hopefully please sci-

entists from all areas of signalling research.
