Guidelines for Abstract Submission:
Abstracts for the poster exhibition can be on any area of cell and developmental biology. Maximum number of characters: 2000 cha-
racters including spaces. No pictures, photos or images. Please check spelling and grammar carefully. All abstracts will be published
as submitted. All abstracts will be printed in an abstract booklet that will be handed out at the registration desk at the meeting.
Deadline for Abstract Submission: January 15, 2015
Registration:
Please note that the acceptance of your abstract does not include congress registration. At least one author
(the first or the presenting author) needs to register for the congress. The abstract will otherwise not be reviewed and waived
from the scientific committee.
Abstract Topics:
The program offers two poster sessions for which all together 16 different topics are provided:
S1: Centrosomes, spindle assembly and cilia
S2: Cellular chaperones and proteostasis
S3: DNA repair and telomeres
S4: Cell adhesion and mechanics
S5: Degenerative diseases
S6: Genome regulation
S7: Polarity
S8: Innate immunity in plants and animals
Presentation S1 – S11:
The short talks to be held in the Symposia (S1-S11) will be chosen on the basis of the abstracts by the
symposium chairs. You can either choose to prepare a poster only or apply for a poster that should be considered for a short talk.
Once the abstracts have been reviewed you will be informed whether your abstract was accepted as a poster or a short talk.
Poster Presenter (short talk):
• Please prepare a presentation of 15 minutes including discussion (12 + 3 min., optimally).
• You are also invited to prepare a poster in addition to your talk. (Poster size DIN A0, portrait format)
Poster:
• Please prepare a poster size DIN A0, portrait format.
• There will be two poster-sessions. You will be informed about when to put up your poster and when to take it down.
Presentation PS1 – PS4 and GS:
For abstracts of topics PS1 – PS4 and GS you can in principle only prepare a poster as there
are no short talks from abstracts in plenary sessions. However, chairs of symposia can request to scan the abstracts submitted to
plenary or general subjects to see whether they would fit their subject and may use this for selection as well. Once the abstracts
have been reviewed you will be informed whether your abstract was accepted.
Poster:
• Please prepare a poster size DIN A0, portrait format.
• There will be two poster-sessions. You will be informed about when to put up your poster and when to take it down.
